Lorna's Fundraising For The Little Hearts Of Myanmar

Hello,
My name is Lorna, and I am a Video/Digital Content Producer in Sydney, Australia volunteering with Open Heart International.
On 15th October I am hoping to travel to Myanmar with an Australian Medical team, to cover their story as they strive to save the lives of 60 babies desperately in need of heart surgery.
This team of committed Australian Nurses and Heart Surgeons, are going to Myanmar to operate on babies who, without treatment, will die.
What has inspired me to support Open Heart, is that this team are not only dedicated to saving babies lives, but in empowering the local Myanmar medical community to perform such heart operations in the future.
My role within this team will be that of Media Producer. This means I will be filming the babies heart operations, closely covering the team’s daily challenges, and sometimes heartbreaking ups and downs, as they fight to give Myanmar babies a chance at life.
The footage I’ll be gathering is vital in order to raise awareness for what OHI does. It will give a direct and clear connection between all of those here in Australia who would like to see the difference their contributions have made to these babies, and it will also make it possible for other Australians to understand how future donations are desperately needed and how they will be used for this empowering cause.
Please help get me and the team to Myanmar so that Open Heart can continue their lifesaving work.

Open Heart International has been around for a very long time, celebrating 30 years now in 2016. It's a typically Australian quiet achiever. So many medical staff and their support team being of service to those in need. Open Heart has achieved more than 150 project visits and either saved or transformed over 5,550 lives!
By supporting this fundraise effort, you will be providing much needed funds which will go towards the project costs including supplies, travel expenses, and equipment. Taking large teams and lots of medical equipment around the world doesn't come cheaply, so every single piece of support will help make a difference.
